Free resources for your personal or business blog. Templates are offered as is, unless you wish to pay for customization services or edit them yourself. You can edit the blog XML and images to your liking, including making your own custom header to replace the one included...

Regardless of any editing after downloading, when using a template or theme from this site, you must leave credit and link in tact when installing on your blog. This is a very tiny link at the bottom of the pages and will not distract from your blog.

** BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR BLOG BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES! As the old saying goes -- an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Themes have been tested, but we make no guarantees to how they will behave when installed on your own blog or when user edited.

• Login to Blogger Dashboard, Layout Options, Edit HTML Tab.
  
  
• Be sure to first download a back up of your current blog theme in case of errors before proceeding by clicking the DOWNLOAD FULL TEMPLATE option.
  
  

Each template comes in a zipped file. Images are currently hosted, and you can use the XML file as is. But images are not guaranteed to be hosted forever... in which case, it is much better for you to upload them and host them yourself.

Following are general instructions on how to do so:

• Unzip, and upload images included for the template to your own image hosting services or ftp server.
  
  
• Open XML file in notepad, dreamweaver or similar editing utility.
• Change all image paths to your correctly hosted paths. (example: http://yoursite.com/images/yourimage.jpg). A handy way to do this is with the find and replace feature. Replace the current website paths with your own - leaving just the image name in each path the same.
  
  
• Save XML file as a copy (renamed), so as not to overwrite the original.
  
  
• Login to Blogger Dashboard, Layout Options, Edit HTML Tab.
  
  
• Be sure to first download a back up of your current blog theme in case of errors before proceeding by clicking the DOWNLOAD FULL TEMPLATE option.
  
  
• Save this backup to your hard drive in case of future need, or wanting to revert back to your current theme or template.
  
  
• Now within the same area of your Blogger Dashboard, Layout Options, Edit HTML Tab - Customize you widgets and page in the Blogger Dashboard, Layout Options, Page Elements Tab. Add any widgets that you may want, edit existing ones - including menu and footer links, and copyright text for your blog. ** See below for more on editing top menu. **
  
  
• After making changes to blog posts or widgets, refresh your blog page to update the changes, and make sure everything on the page is working correctly.

The Top Menu of each template can be edited in your page layout options.
You can have main links, as well as sub links that appear when your main links are moused over.
Sub links need a dash - before the link name to identify it as a sub link, and needs to be sorted to just under the main link you would like it to appear under.

Your sort order determines in what order your links appear, and which main link your sub links appear under. See screen shots below for examples. Click to enlarge.
